<p>A rare earth permanent magnet having high values of coercive force, whose crystalline phases are mainly of body-centered tetragonal structure and whose chemical composition is represented by a general formula: Rx My Fe1-x-y wherein R represents at least one rare earth element (including Y), M represents at least one element selected from V, Cr, Mn, Si, W, Nb, Mo, Ta, Al, Sn, Zr, Hf, and Ge, and x and y are atomic fractions such that 0.05</=x</=0.19 and 0.01</=y</=0.10.</p> |
