The invention relates to a signal and/or control device for front panel mounting having a head part with a sleeve which can be plugged into a hole in the front panel and can be secured on the front panel, in which sleeve there is arranged a lamp socket for holding transmission contact parts for a lamp and which is sealed at the front by a removable cap. In order to allow the lamp to be changed in a simple manner from the front without any tools, it is provided that the lamp socket is guided in the sleeve such that it can move longitudinally and is held in the sleeve by the cap against which the lamp socket is spring pretensioned.
