PURPOSE:To improve the recording and reproducing of a signal as well as the mass production of title head by making the both end parts of the magnetic core of a magnetic head formed by laminating insulating layers of metal magnetic substance, to form ruggedly vertically in an azimuth angle different for a gap line. CONSTITUTION:By means of sputtering, etc., a 'Sendust(R)' or amorphous mag netic layer 3 and in insulating layer 2 of such as SiO2 are alternately laminated on a substrate 1 in the same thickness as width of a track. The substrate 1 is bonded lastly, then a chip core having a gap 4 is constituted. In case the end part of the magnetic body is parallel with the gap 4, a signal is generated at this part hence the quality of a reproduced picture degrades. In order to prevent this, the end part is made other than parallel straight line; a projecting end part 3a is formed by chemical etching of SiO2 layer with a high etching rate while a recessed end part 3b is formed by chemical etching of magnetic substance layer also with a high etching rate. This process can be executed with the head block in a gapped bar shape, hence mass production is facilitated and easier handling can be provided. |
