PURPOSE:To ensure the opening operation of a nozzle by forming the tip part of a stopper and the nozzle forming a flowing port with a conductive refractory and feeding the current for heating with electrification between the both. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle stopper 5 and upper nozzle 6 of a tundish 1 is composed of the refractory of an alumina - carbon material having electric conductivity and electrodes 12, 13 are respectively fitted thereto. The current for heating with electrification is fed between the stopper 5 and upper nozzle 6 via the electrodes 12, 13 from an electrode 14. In this case, a bit heating action is received because the stopper 5 and upper nozzle 6 themselves respectively heat and the contact part of the both has a big contact resistance. The solidified deposition of the base metal is thus prevented due to the contact part of the stopper 5 and upper nozzle 6 being maintained at high temp. Consequently the opening operation of the nozzle 6 is ensured. |
