摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent any backlash between a pinion and a rack tooth from occurring by energizing the pinion to the rear-wheel steering rack tooth formed in a rack bar of a front-wheel steering device with an elastic pressing means. CONSTITUTION:A first pinion 36 tightly installed in a lower end of a steering shaft spindle 34 for a steering wheel is being engaged with a first rack tooth 18, and a second pinion 40 tightly installed in a front end of a rod member 38 connecting a front wheel steering device to a rear-wheel steering device is engaged with a second rack tooth 20. A cylindrical member 48 is attached to a tip of the second pinion 40 via a needle roller 46, and a spring 52 is set up in a gap with a cover member 50 screwed in a cylinder member 14 as being compressed. The pinion 40 of the rod member 38 is energized in direction heading for the second rack tooth 20 by this spring 52.</p>
