PURPOSE: To obtain a synergic composition containing a compound of specific active ingredients of herbicide component and useful for controlling weeds in growing area of useful plants, especially corn. CONSTITUTION: This synergic composition contains (A) N-[2 (methoxycarbonyl) phenyl]sulfonyl-N'-(4,6-bis-difluoromethoxypyrimidin-2-y l)-urea of formula I and (B) a herbicide selected from a compound of formula II (R<1> is isopropyl, tert.-butyl, etc.), e.g. 2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6-isopropylamino 1,3,5-triazine, a compound of formula III (R<2> is CH3 or C2 H5 ; R<3> is methoxymethyl, etc.), e.g. 2-chloro-2',6'-diethyl-Nmethoxymethylacetoanilide, a compound of formula IV [R<5> is Br or I; R<4> is CN or formula V when R<6> is H or CN when R<6> is CO(CH2 )6 -CH3 ], e.g. 4-hydroxy-5,5-iodobenzonitrile, etc., in an active amount for obtaining synergism. |
