PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive having excellent adhesive power, blocking resistance, frictional resistance, heat resistance, and abrasion resistance, by incorporating a finely divided non-thermoplastic rigid substance into a specified natural rubber latex. CONSTITUTION:A natural rubber latex is obtained by graft polymerization of a natural rubber with styrene and methyl methacrylate. This latex is mixed with a finely divided non-thermoplastic rigid substance (e.g., silica gel) to give an objective pressure-sensitive adhesive. This adhesive is useful for lap bonding in various ways; for instance, it may be applied in advance to a prescribed part or area of a continuous or cut form or a sheet, on which information is printed, and when this form or sheet is used, the adhesive will serve for, e.g., sealing in the case of the form for an envelope, or binding in the case of the printed form. |
