PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition useful for, e. g., bonding metal with a heat-resistant synthetic rubber, by mixing a specified novolak phenolic resin, a polyfunctional epoxy resin, and a curing agent. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. novolak phenolic resin containing p-xylene linkages, comprising an aromatic alkyl ether/phenol condensate resin and having a softening point of 80-120 deg. and an average molecular weight of 1,000-5,000 is mixed with 20-100 pts.wt. polyfunctional epoxy resin (e. g., a novolak epoxy resin), 5-50wt.%, based on total resin, curing agent and, if required, a divalent metal (hydr) oxide, a vulcanizing agent, etc. If necessary, this mixture is dissolved in an organic solvent. |
