PURPOSE:To facilitate the fixing of the title toner at a low pressure, and to suppress the hydrophilic property of the surface of a capsule by forming a microcapsule according to an interfacial polymerization method, followed by washing the microcapsule with an org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:A core substance formed by dispersing a coloring agent or a magnetic powder, etc., in a wax-like substance (such as a paraffin wax) which has a m.p. of 50-100 deg.C and is a solid at a room temp., is liquefied by heating it with an org. solvent having a b.p. of >=100 deg.C. Next, the liquefied substance is mixed with a hot isocyanate compd., followed by mixing the obtd. mixture with a hot water contg. a dispersion stabilizer (such as polyvinyl alcohol) while agitating to form the emulsion of the mixture, and then the capsule is formed by adding a hydrophilic compd. (such as diethylene triamine) to the emulsion, followed by being subjected the emulsion to the interfacial polymerization. Subsequently, the capsule cooled is washed with the org. solvent such as methanol having b.p. of <=100 deg.C to obtain the capsule toner. |
