PURPOSE:To execute good suction of serum even if the serum separated from blood-clot is directly sucked by detecting the position of the blood-clot surface by a blood-clot surface detecting means, the executing control in such a manner that the bottom end of a nozzle does not lower below the blood-clot surface. CONSTITUTION:A light irradiating means 33b fixed to a supporting plate 33a lowers gradually from near the top end thereof while projecting light toward a sample cup. An optical sensor detects the light transmitted through the sample cup 3. The state of the light detected by the optical sensor 33c changes when the light approaches the blood-clot surface 9c. A detection signal is then outputted toward a controller 11. The controller 11 detects the height of the blood-clot surface from the rotating amt. of a motor 33f and controls the motor 32c of a perpendicular moving means 32 so as to prevent the lowering distance of the nozzle 15 from exceeding the distance from the tip of the nozzle in a standby position to the blood-clot surface 9c. The detection signal from a liquid level sensor is sent, upon contact of the tip 40a of the liquid level sensor 40 with the blood-clot surface, through a signal line 41 to the controller 11 which in turn stops the motor 32c of the perpendicular moving means 32. The controller drives a motor 10a in a suction stopping means when the lowering stops. The suction of the serum is thus started. |
