PURPOSE:To lengthen the life of a battery by making the grid weight of a positive plate in at least one end-cell heavier than that of other cells. CONSTITUTION:In a monoblock type lead-acid battery 1, the grid weight of the first cell which has the possibility to be exposed to high temperature is made heavier than those of the second to the sixth cells. Even if the corrosion of the grid progress at the same velosity, a deterioration in cell performance is retarded. The life of a battery at high temperature is increased. |
