发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the use of a nematic liquid crystal having a high N-I transition temp. and to shorten the time for production by constituting upper and lower substrates of polymer films and incorporating an IR absorbent into a liquid crystal to be injected therebetween. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower substrates 1, 2 are constituted of the polymer films and the nematic liquid crystal 7 into which 0.2wt.% IR absorbent is incorporated is sealed therebetween. The liquid crystal 7 is heated to the N-I transition temp. or above by projecting IR rays thereto to form the isotropic liquid. Since the liquid crystals raises its temp. earlier than the polymer films, the influence of the temp. on the polymer films is low. A uniform orientation treatment can be executed by cooling thereafter. The temp. rise of the polymer films is decreased according to this constitution and, therefore the shorter time for cooling is required.
