PURPOSE:To preclude the influence of black stripes, etc., on a no-image area by forming a developing roller so that both end parts which exert no influence upon an image area are smaller in diameter than its center part. CONSTITUTION:Both end parts 15 and 16 of the developing roller 11 which exert no influence upon the image area are made small in diameter than the center part 11a. A developer which is agitated by an agitator roller 6 is therefore attracted to the developing roller 11, but there are partition plates 17 at the small-diameter parts 15 and 16, so the developer is stopped at the small- diameter parts 15 and 16 and not attracted. Consequently, the developer flows toward the image area G because of the partition plates 17 and never appears at an opening 3. Then there is no developer 3 at the edge of the opening 3, so such a problem that the developer moves out of a developing tank 10 is improved. Consequently, black stripes, etc., at a white part (no-image part) are improved. |
