A first drive unit drives a second unit so that it executes forward and recoil movements with constant stroke length. The units comprise pistons, the first of which activates, when it moves in its primary movement direction, a second piston via a medium to effect its own movement in its first direction of movement (16). The pistons (2, 3) are arranged such that the second piston makes its full stroke length motion in its first direction of movement for all the stroke lengths within the range of forward movement of the first piston. The second piston is activated by recoil components effecting its movement in its second direction. |
