PURPOSE:To lessen the change of the triboelectrification characteristic of a carrier against the change of surroundings by coating a core material with a specified resin. CONSTITUTION:The core material of the carrier is coated by applying the core material with a resin composed of a copolymer which contains a styrene monomer (such as styrene), a (meth)acrylate (such as n-butyl acrylate) and a vinyl monomer (such as a compd. shown by the formula) contg. an acid group as a constituting unit, and has an acid value of 0.1-20. In the formula, R1 and R2 are each H atom or CH3 group, (m) is 1-14, (n) is 0-8. And the copolymer can be cross-linked with a melamine-aldehyde resin or an isocyanate compd., and a fluorine contg. polymer, etc., may be blended in the copolymer. |
