The material for mfr. of paper or card, or the finished surface, is sized using the reaction prod. of colophonium resin and an aluminium salt, with addn. of a protein-based prepn. to achieve dispersion and stabilisation. - A high degree of water-repellency is achieved at relatively low cost.
