In the electron tube cathode structure to improve the strength against vibrations by fixing a filament, a metallized layer (B) is formed on the surface of a lower end ceramic shield (3') facing toward an upper end shield (2) and on the inside wall surface of a helical filament (1). A center support (4) is fitted through a circular hole (3a) of this lower end shield in such a manner that the outer side of the former may contact the inner side of the latter. In the peripheral edge of the lower end shield, a circular hole (3b) is formed and the tip of a side support (5) is fitted in there. The filament and the side support are each fixed to the metallized layer.
