An arrangement for transport of banknotes comprises transport member 11 to 12 and straightening member 13 to 15. The transport member 11 to 12 ceases transporting at the moment when the straightening member 13 to 15 straightens the notes to the correct position along a conveyor belt. Parts 12 and 15, respectively, of the transport member 11 to 12 and the straightening member 13 to 15, which parts act directly on the banknote during transport and straightening, are mechanically arranged on one and the same rotatable unit 151. The straightening member comprises a first unit 13 to 15 with a substantial straightening effect on a banknote when the latter is located relatively far from the correct position, and a second unit 14 to 15 with a slight straightening effect on a banknote when the latter is located relatively near the correct position. Transfer from straightening with the first unit 13 to 15 to straightening with the second unit 14 to 15 takes place under the action of the respective banknote as it is being transported. <IMAGE> |
