TRANSMISSION SYSTEM BETWEEN PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS

PURPOSE:To speed up transmission of all signals by using plural parallel signals extracted from a printed circuit board as plural optical signals as they are, and sending the signals through optical guide path arrays the same in the number as that of the signals. CONSTITUTION:A signal outputted from a printed circuit board A is amplified by a signal amplification section 2 through an electric connector 1 from a terminal part of the board A and subject to electrooptic signal conversion by a light emitting array 3. The optical signal outputted from the array 3 is coupled with a film optical guide path array 5 by an optical connector 4, led to a photodetector array 6 by an optical connector 4' and subject to optoelectric signal conversion. An electric signal outputted from the photodetector array 6 is amplified by a photodetection signal amplifier section 7 and sent to a terminal part of a printed circuit board B at the opposite side through the electric connector 1'. On the other hand, the signal outputted from the printed circuit board B to the printed circuit board A is sent through an opposite path to the path from the circuit board A to the circuit board B.
