PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which has excellent resistance to blocking, flowability, etc. and to obtain always a sharp picture image, by dipping a toner for fixing with a heat roll consisting essentially of a binder resin, a coloring material and a magnetic material in an aq. acidic or basic soln. in a specific pH range thereby reforming the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A toner consisting essentially of a binder resin, a coloring material and a magnetic material which are widely used heretofore is prepd. and the toner is dipped for a few hours in an aq. acidic soln. of 2-5pH (mineral acid such as H2SO4, HCl or the like) at an ordinary temp., and is then neutralized with an aq. KOH soln. or the like, whereafter the toner is filtered, rinsed and dried. Or the toner is dipped in an aq. soln. of NaOH, KOH or the like of 9-12pH and is then neutralized, rinsed and dried, whereby the toner is obtd. The toner which is improved in the resistance to blocking of the toner for fixing with a heat roll, and has excellent fixability, resistance to offset and environment, etc. is thus obtd. |
