PURPOSE:To couple directly a Geneva gear provided at the center of a selector to the driving shaft of a Geneva crank, and to operate the Geneva crank intermittently to reduce the plane size of the on-load tap changer on the whole by a method wherein the container of a load-break switch and a tap selector are arranged shifting the centers with each other. CONSTITUTION:The on-load tap changer is constituted of the cylindrical container type load-break switch 1, the driving shaft 2 to operate a tap selector driving mechanism, the tap selector 3 hanged from the switch 1 and a converter 4 arranged at the side of the selector 3. The selector 3 is arranged shifting the center thereof to the driving shaft 2 side, and the driving shaft 2 is coupled directly to the Geneva crank 5 of the tap selector driving mechanism provided at the top part of the selector 3. The Geneva gears 6, 7 to drive a traveling contact of the selector 3 are arranged at the center of the selector 3, the gears 6, 7 are driven by the crank 5, and changing over of the converter 4 is performed by the operation of a converter lever 8 with the gear 7. Accordingly the plane size of the on-load tap changer is reduced on the whole, and the change-over operation is insured. |
