PURPOSE:To make positioning of magnetic head easy, by forming the information signal region on the disc substrate with the 1st magnetic film lower in Curie temperature, and forming the 2nd magnetic film higher in Curie temperature than the 1st magnetic film on the servo signal region. CONSTITUTION:At the substrate 11 at a part of the substrate 1, the servo signal region 15 (showing a part of the servo signal region 3 of the substrate 1) having a recess 12 formed into about 2mum depth, is provided. After coating the 2nd magnetic film high in Curie temperature on the entire surface of the substrate 1, the 2nd magnetic film is polished out for other parts after remaining the recess 12. Further, the 1st magnetic film 13 having lower Curie temperature than the 2nd magnetic film is coated on the entire substrate and the information signal region 2 is formed through magnetization toward track. The magnetic film 12 having high Curie temperature is present only for the recess 12 corresponding to the signal in two frequencies of f1, f2 alternately toward the inside of the substrate 1 at the servo signal region 3, and the film 12 is magnetized toward the track running. Thus, the magnetic head is easily positioned and the disc possible for high-density recording can be obtained. |
