CONSTITUTION:Read start signal 6 is given to control circuit 4 from the external. Control circuit 4 starts the card feeding mechanism, and controls opening of the input gate of reading part 1, buffering to data buffer 2, error detection in check circuit 3, etc. and outputs read data to external 7 for every column. At this time, if read inhibiting or error detection inhibiting signal 8 is given to inhibition control circuit 5 from the external, inhibition control circuit 5 inhibits read or error detection for columns following a certain column. As a result, sealing, memorandum, etc., are entered freely in the column part of the card, and the variety of formats of the card is obtained. |
