PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling effect by providing air exhausting windows on a frame at the positions corresponding to cooling fan attached to a rotor, forming said windows at a slanted angle along the ventilating direction of the cooling wind, and reducing the resistance to the ventilation. CONSTITUTION:Slanted flow or centrifugal fan 8 for supplying cooling air are attached to the end face of the rotor. The cooling air exhausting windows 4 which are slanted in the direction of the diameter are formed at the positions corresponding to said fan 8 on a stator frame so that their slanted angle is aligned with the angle of the fan 8. Furthermore, the shape of a coil end part of a stator coil 6 is formed so that it is aligned with the angle of the fan 8. In this constitution, the ventilating resistance of the cooling air blown by the fan 8 is decreased, cooling efficiency is enhanced, noises due to the ventilation are decreased, heat dissipation of the stator coil 6 is improved, and the output power can be increased. |
