<p>PURPOSE:To provide a treating agent composed of a block-copolymerized poly(ester ether) derived from a specific acid component and a glycol component, having excellent dispersibility in water and capable of imparting washing resistance and high color fastness especially to a polyester fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective treating agent consists of a block-copolymerized poly(ether ester) composed of acid components comprising (A) terephthalic acid (or its ester-forming derivative), (B) isophthalic acid (or its ester-forming derivative) and (C) a 3,5-dicarboxybenzenesulfonic acid alkali metal salt (or its ester-forming derivative) and glycol components comprising (D) diethylene glycol and (E) polytetramethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 400-6,000. The molar ratio of A:B:C is (10-50):(50-90):(2-5) and the content of the component E in the agent is 50-80wt%. The agent is used preferably as an aqueous dispersion containing <=15wt% nonionic surfactant based on said copolymer.</p> |
