PURPOSE:To surely feed paper by controlling pressing force of a pressing member, which presses the paper on an intermediate tray onto a conveying member, so as to increase in accordance with an increase of number of sheets or enlargement of size of the paper on the intermediate tray, when it is conveyed to a paper feed member successively from the paper in the lowermost part. CONSTITUTION:When paper 16 is accumulated in a predetermined number of sheets on an intermediate tray, next a pressing member 48 turns in a direction C. The paper 16 is pressed in its front part by the pressing member 48 onto a call-in conveying belt 37. Under this condition, by running the call-in conveying belt 37 in a direction A, the paper 16 on the intermediate tray 29 is conveyed to a paper feed roller 36 successively from the paper in the lowermost part and fed out successively to a paper conveying path 32 by the paper feed roller 36. Here the pressing member 48 controls its pressing force so as to increase following an increase of number of sheets or enlargement of size of the paper loaded on the intermediate tray 29. In this way, only the paper in the lowermost part can be surely guided to a paper feed part. |
