MAGNETO-OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

The recording medium is applied in a form of a fine layer of an amorphous magnetic alloy to a substrate and contains at least one transition metal, in particular manganese (Mn) or chromium (Cr), which in the energy range used for recording the information contains states which increase the effective spin polarization. The recording medium has a large Kerr angle, a good signal to noise ratio and a high coercitive field strength.
