PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound useful as a raw material for drugs efficiently, inexpensively and in high yield without preparing a salt as a by- product, by reacting an allyl alcohol with an amine in the presence of a palladium compound and a phosphorus compound. CONSTITUTION:An allyl alcohol shown by the formula (R1-R3 are H, 1-8C aliphatic hydrocarbon or alicyclic hydrocarbon) is reacted with a primary amine (e. g., CH3NH2 or C2H5NH2) and/or a secondary amine [(CH3)2NH] in the presence of a palladium compound (e. g., PdCl2 or PdBr2) and a multi-coordination phosphorus compound as a catalyst to give an allylamine. The amount of the catalyst used is preferably 1/10-1/100,000, especially 1/50-1/2,000mol based on 1 mol allyl alcohol. |
