PURPOSE:To enable the automatic correction of time of a clock in a private branch exchange without depending upon human hands, by recognizing a voice of a time information service of an office line, by interpreting time data therefrom and by correcting the time of a clock on the basis of the data. CONSTITUTION:In order to correct a clock in a private branch exchange, a central control device 5 controls an office trunk 3 with an automatic exchange function to transmit a signal automatically to the time information service of an office line. This signal transmission is executed at a prescribed interval by the office trunk 3. When confirming that connection is made to the time information service of the office line, the central control device 5 connects the office trunk 3 to a voice recognizing device 1 through a channel switch 2. The voice recognizing device 1 recognizes and interprets the voice of the time service and stores the time data thus obtained in a buffer. After recognizing a correct-time signal of the time information service, the voice recognizing device 1 erects a flag showing the data readable, for a prescribed period. When recognizing that this flag is erected, the central control device 5 reads the time data of the voice recognizing device 1 to update the time data of a clock of a clock circuit 4. |
