PURPOSE:To obtain readily eatable rice balls to be hygienically handled, by spitting plural rice balls of about a mouthful, roasting by a fire and rapidly freezing. CONSTITUTION:Boiled rice is put in a mold and an ingredient such as dried bonito or beef steak plant is added to the mold to make rice balls 1-3 having about 2-5cm size of a mouthful. The rice balls 1-3 are skewed on a bamboo spit 7 and the surface of the rice balls is roasted by a gas heater, etc. Then the roasted rice balls 1-3 are rapidly frozen while hot, packed into a packaging bag, air in the bag is taken out by a vacuum device, the mouth of the bag is sealed and the bag is packed in vacuum. In the case of eating, the seal is opened, the roasted rice balls 1-3 are taken out and warmed by an electric oven. Thus the rice balls are hygienically treated and readily eaten. |
