NEW MATERIAL:An N-substituted trialkoxybenzylpiperazine derivative of formulaI[R is methyl or ethyl; Z is a group of formula II (A is H, lower alkyl, oxymethyl, etc.)]. EXAMPLE:C16H26N2O4.2HCl. USE:Useful as a remedy for ischemic heart diseases, having actions on coronary circulatory systems,e.g. cornary material vasodilator or cardiokenetic inhibitory actions. PROCESS:A compound of formula III is reacted with a compound of formula IV (X is halogen) in the presence of a deacidifying agent, e.g. an alkali carbonate, in an unreactive solvint, e.g. DMF, to give the compound of formulaI. |
