<p>The invention relates to a tunnel shield (1) which preferably functions as an earth pressure shield and has a device for comminuting material which can no longer be conveyed. The tunnel shield (1) bears a winning head (7) and is sealed by a bulkhead wall (4). The bulkhead wall (4) has bores (26) through which crushing or cleaving tools can be introduced into a kneading chamber (17) located behind the winning head (7). Furthermore, bearing devices (27) for abutment elements (28) are provided on the bulkhead wall (4). Obstructions which disrupt the advance of the device, e.g. relatively large lumps of rock, are raised by kneading arms (18), which are arranged at the rear on the winning arms (12) of the winning head (7), and fixed on the abutment elements (28). The comminution of these obstructions takes place by means of crushing or cleaving tools which are introduced, through the bores (26), into the kneading chamber (17) (Figure 2). <IMAGE></p> |
