PURPOSE:To prevent damage due to a start-up/stop of a turbine in a generating plant consisting of two machines and one boiler, and thereby to lengthen the life-span of the machinery, by providing a cross-over pipe part of the turbine with a connecting pipe, and thereby warming the turbine. CONSTITUTION:A cross-over pipe 9a, connecting an intermediate pressure turbine 8a and a low-pressure turbine 10a of a turbine A, is connected to a cross- over pipe 9 of a turbine B via a connecting pipe 25. The connecting pipe 25 is equipped with a main steam control valve 27 and a steam shut-off valve 26. When the turbine B is started while the turbine A is under operation, the turbine B is warmed if the steam shut-off valve is fully opened and moreover the steam control valve is slightly opened. With these contrivances, the damage of the machinery due to the start-up/stop can be eliminated, lengthening the life- span of the machinery. |
