PURPOSE:To easily perform the selection of a mode after changing a developing device by automatically selecting a specified image forming mode previously set every developing device with an action for setting the developing device. CONSTITUTION:The developing device 5Y can be changed for the developing device 5BK housing black toner in order to obtain a distinct monochrome image. In case of developing and copying the monochrome image, the developing device 5Y is changed for the developing device 5BK to develop the image with the black toner. Image forming mode information supplied to an image information processing circuit and an image reproducing and recording part is a command of setting in a color mode when the developing device 5BK is displaced for the developing device 5Y and it is a command of setting in a black monochrome mode when the developing device 5Y is displaced for the developing device 5BK. The image information processing circuit and the image reproducing and recording part control a device to be in a specified mode. Thus, the scaling- down of the device can be attained by changing the developing device and the mode can be easily selected after displacing the developing device. |
