PURPOSE: To reproduce three kinds of timbre in the same playing style with an original musical instrument by providing three pads which generate sounds when hit with sticks and reproducing the different sounds when the respective pads are hit. CONSTITUTION: The three pads 1-3 are arranged in ergonomics view so as to reproduce the same timbres with the original musical instrument. To reproduce a Latin sound, a 1st pad 1 in the same shape with a spherical projection provided at the center part of the original musical instrument is arranged inward, a 2nd pad 2 in a flat shape for generating a ride sound is arranged in front of the 1st pad, and a 3rd pad for generating a crush sound is arranged before the 2nd pad 2. Thus, the pads 1-3 are arranged to reproduce the three kinds of sound that can not be reproduced by a conventional electronic percussion instrument by exactly the same playing technique with the original musical instrument. For reproduced timbres, the sound of the original musical instrument is recorded and processed into signals, which are stored in a sound source output means, so that the sound is generated once the pads 1-3 are hit with the sticks. |
