PURPOSE:To lower the running cost of a heating-type image forming device, by opposing a toner adhesion surface of a toner-feeding means and a transfer material to each other, heating one of a dry-type toner electrified to have electric charges and a toner-feeding member under an electric field generated by an electric field applying means, and then transferring the toner onto the transfer material. CONSTITUTION:In a hopper 7, a dry-type toner is electrified by slipping through a gap between a metallic roller 5 and a friction plate 6 as the roller 5 is rotated. The electrified toner fed to a magnetic film 1 provided as a toner-feeding means is magnetically attracted to and held on the film 1, and is fed between a transfer material 10 and a thermal head 8. When a predetermined heat generating part of the head 8 is energized to generate heat, a predetermined portion of the toner 4 is heated through a base material 2. The toner 4, previously electrified to have electric charges, receives an electrostatic attractive force toward the transfer material 10 under an electric field applied between a platen 9 and a magnetic conductor layer 3 of the magnetic film. The toner lowered in permeability by heating to a temperature near the Curie point thereof is lowered in magnetic attractive force, and is selectively transferred and adhered to the transfer material by the electrostatic attractive force. The toner thus adhered is fixed on the transfer material as the temperature is lowered. |
