A description is given of an arrangement for receiving the components of a VDU-based workstation and integrating them into an arrangement of desks of common types, comprising height-adjustable and laterally pivotable supporting elements for receiving a visual display unit and a keyboard. The arrangement, termed equipment tower 1, consists of three assemblies 2, 3, 4 which can be put together and is adaptable to the height of conventional desks 5. The equipment tower is constructed as a variable, add-on unit for frontal or lateral positioning against the desks 5 and consists of a baseplate 2, a height-adjustable housing 3 and a height- and laterally adjustable system column 4. The equipment tower 1 is suitable for receiving a universally usable VDU-based workstation and can be fitted, in particular as a multi-purpose unit, into a grouping of a plurality of desks of variable configuration. <IMAGE> |
