Presentation device for sales objects (7), in particular for objects from the group consisting of image- and sound-carrying media, their boxes, accompanying printed matter and cassettes. The sales objects are accommodated in a plurality of channel-like elongated containers (5) which are arranged in a row one behind the other and are held, for the purpose of leafing through, with their lower region in a horizontal pivoting bearing. To prevent theft, a device which engages over the containers (5) and the sales objects (7) is provided. To solve the object of obtaining user-friendliness and nevertheless protecting the sales objects against unauthorised removal, each individual container (5) is equipped with a U-shaped frame (30) having a yoke (31) parallel to the container longitudinal axis and two legs (32) pointing downwards from the yoke. The legs are mounted to be pivotable to a limited extent, relative to the container (5) between two positions, by their lower ends about a pivoting shaft parallel to the container longitudinal axis and fixed to the container (5). In the one locking position, the yoke (31) protects the sales objects (7) against removal and in the other release position, the yoke is pivoted out of the removal path of the sales objects. <IMAGE>
