摘要 A new type of measuring probe suitable for manufacturing ion-selective/material-selective electrodes is described as supplementary application to Application P 3729681.7. Advantages are that a smaller amount (0.1 ml) of sample solution is required. Furthermore, only the glass surface contacts the sample solution and no contamination by the reference electrolyte is possible. The measuring probe comprises an ordinary pH glass electrode whose active surface is divided into two halves. One part forms a pH measuring probe with a reference electrode and associated diaphragm. This part is enclosed in a chamber and is in continuous contact with a buffered graphite suspension. This produces a constant potential. The other part of the glass electrode projects from the chamber and is immersed in the solution to be measured. This produces an additional potential which is proportional to the hydrogen ion concentrations. The resulting potential is finally measured.
