PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC ORIENTED FILM AND ELEMENT FORMED BY USING SAID ORGANIC ORIENTED FILM

PURPOSE:To provide uniaxial anisotropy to an org. oriented film and to improve the orientation characteristic thereof by forming a thin org. compd. film by an LB method on a substrate on which a high-polymer film is stuck. CONSTITUTION:The substrate on which the high-polymer film 1 is stuck by a rubbing method is further formed thereupon with the thin org. compd. film 2 by the LB method of moving the substrate vertically so as in such a manner that the substrate cross the thin layer of the org. compd. formed on the surface of an aq. soln. The rubbing film 1 has the characteristic to uniaxially arrange the film sticking thereon and the LB film 2 is thereby uniaxially arranged. The LB film 2 has the characteristic to finely control the tilt angle of the material sticking thereon. The org. oriented film is thus capable of maintaining the intra-surface anisotropy of the material to be oriented at a high level and and of finely controlling the tilt angle.
