An impressed-current anode for installation in corrosive liquids, such as sea water or the like, under the level of the liquid comprises an anode rod composed of an active base and a coating of high-grade valve metal. Said anode rod is connected to a terminal fitting mounted in a potted terminal chamber provided with a supporting plate. Such an impressed-current anode is advantageously developed further in that the terminal fitting (8) has a terminal piece (7) which projects out of the potted terminal chamber (6) and which is provided with a recess (10) for clamping the anode rod (11), the diameter of said recess (10) being equal to the largest diameter of the anode rod (11). <IMAGE>
