<p>The present invention relates to a process for the torrefaction of ligneous material of vegetable origin wherein, continuously and in a unique sealed vessel: the material is dried in a first oven (2) in the presence of vapor in order to remove the water and the acetic acid, up to a temperature of 180°C approximately, and in a second oven (3), the temperature is raised up to 280°C in order to torrefy the material in a water vapor-laden atmosphere; the water being taken from the vapor issued from the drying step.</p> |
