<p>In the process described, an unembossed film (4) suitable for deep drawing is placed in a mould (1) which is embossed on at least part of its inner surface (10). A molten thermoplastic is then injected into the mould at a pressure of approximately 10 to 130 bar, the temperature of the thermoplastic preferably being greater than the softening temperature of the deep-drawable film (4). A gas is preferably injected into the plastic melt during or after injection of the molten thermoplastic. The pressure in the moulding is then maintained until the thermoplastic has hardened. The surface film (4) is thus flawlessly and permanently embossed during injection moulding of the core material (6).</p> |
