PURPOSE:To prevent development with a low density and to secure a stable image density by inverting a bar material at a time ratio according with circumstance conditions such as the relative humidity and the remainder quantity of toner. CONSTITUTION:A toner remainder quantity detector 15 which detects the remainder quantity of toner is provided in a developer storage vessel 7, and a relative humidity detector 14 which detects the relative humidity in the periphery of a developing device is provided on the outside of this vessel 7, and these detectors are electrically connected to a controller 12, and respective detected values are converted to electric signals and are transmitted to the controller 12. The controller 12 performs the operation based on received signals and transmits the result to a +/- switching relay 10 as an operation signal to rotate a motor 9 reverse/forward at a proper time ratio, thereby automatically repeatedly rotating a bar material 5 at the same time ratio. That is, the inversion mode of the bar material 5 is controlled in accordance with the relative humidity and the remainder quantity of toner. Thus, the reduction of the image density is prevented to secure a proper image density. |
