<p>The invention relates to a selective cut heading machine which is provided with its own travelling mechanism, is preferably used as a dinting machine and which, below a vertically and laterally swivellable cutting extension arm (6), has a loading shovel (13) having loading arms (29, 30, 31) with the aid of which the debris occurring is loaded into a transfer conveyor (14) of the machine, which extends from the loading shovel to the rear of the machine. According to the invention, the loading shovel (13) is constructed asymmetrically with reference to the central axis (M) of the machine and/or can be set in a loading position in which it is asymmetrically tilted laterally outwardly. In this way, it is possible to position the dinting machine eccentrically in the roadway to be dinted and, at the same time, to dint the swollen floor also below a roadway conveyor suspended on the roof in the roadway wall region and to load the debris occurring in this arrangement with the aid of the loading and conveying apparatus.
