Until now, plant boxes, flower boxes or the like have simply been erected on the false floor at the desired places. If, however, this floor has a carpet covering, this method gives rise to pressure points and discolorations which become visible in the event of movement or removal of the boxes and impair the appearance of the false floor. The invention avoids this problem by the plant box (17) being integrated into the false floor. In this connection, the plant box (17) extends in a free space between the foot supports (11) downwards into the cavity under the false floor. The plant box (17) has a laterally projecting, circumferential edge (19), the external dimensions of which correspond to the modular dimension of the false floor panels (10) or a multiple thereof. The plant box (17) is mounted with this edge (19) on the foot supports (11) and/or with its bottom (20) on support brackets (21) which are fastened on the foot supports (11). In this manner, a flush transition from the plant box (17) to adjacent floor panels (10) is achieved. The plant box (17) can be installed anywhere in the false floor by removal of a floor panel (10). <IMAGE>
