The invention relates to a landing stage mainly for small ships, which is equipped in such a way that the ship is partly lifted out of the water by it during berthing. This results in a bearing and holding force of the landing stage on the bank. The landing stage is attached to the bow of the ship and is rotatably mounted perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the ship. During berthing, the landing ramp is swung down by suitable, for example hydraulic, devices and thus the ship is partly lifted out of the water at the bow. The ship thereby rests with the front side of the landing stage on the bank. The holding force thereby attainable, which essentially depends on the weight which can be applied and on the friction coefficient at the bearing point, is adequate to hold the ship sufficiently firmly on the bank for a short period, for example for passengers to disembark and embark.
