PURPOSE:To impregnate a sheet electrode with enough amount of electrolyte by a method wherein after a sheet electrode is attached to a metal case of an electric double layer capacitor, an electrolyte is filled in the case; after a predetermined time, an electrolyte is again impregnated into the case; then, the case is put in a vacuum for vacuum impregnation of an electrolyte into the sheet electrode. CONSTITUTION:First, a main body of a case 10 is detected at a position I. Then, an electrolyte is filled into the case body 10 for the first time from a nozzle 42 at a position II. An existence of the case body 10 is detected at a position VI, and at a position VII, the second filling, of an electrolyte is conducted. After a second turn table 60 rotates at about 270 degrees, the case body 10 is moved to the third turn table 70 for the vacuum implegnation. When the case body 10 is moved to the recessed portion 71 from the second turn table 60, a rubber cap 12 falls to cover the case body airtightly. At this time, a vacuum equipment starts working to evacuate the inside of the rubber cap 2, which makes vacuum impregnation of an electrolyte into a sheet electrode 12 possible. |
