<p>PURPOSE: To provide a division and cross bond system not accompanied with danger by interrupting a screen by a double stress cone system, and separating or displacing the double stress cone system from a cable conductor junction area. CONSTITUTION: Conductors 3 and 4 are joined by 9, and XLPE insulating material 10 is reapplied to an XLPE insulating layer. Two screens 7' and 8' are reapplied from the surfaces of cables 1 and 2, on the XLP insulating material 10 reapplied, so that they may contact with them on at a double stress cone 11. The double stress cone 11 has two electrodes 12 and 13 molded in insulating material 14. The reapplied XLPE insulating material 10 may be cross-coupled or hardened before or after formation of the reapplied screens 7' and 8'. Methane gas is eliminated from the insulating material after hardening processing.</p> |
