PURPOSE:To prevent the entering of a spatter, which may be produced in weld ing process to a positive terminal of a sealing plate, inside a cap by forming a sealing plate assembly by pressing a metal cap having a projection against the inside of a positive cap or by bonding them. CONSTITUTION:Two exhaust holes 2b are installed in the edge of a positive terminal cap 2 of a sealing plate. A cap 3 in which a projection 3a for breaking a vent and exhaust holes 3b corresponding to the exhaust holes 2b are installed is pressed against the inside of the cap 2. A hole produced by cutting up the projection 3a is not appeared in the cap 2. A spatter which may be produced by resistant welding for connecting batteries does not enter the cap and assem bly job is made easy. |
